Practising Taiji at Tyn Y Nant
is a wonderful experience

The senses sharpen as the brain relaxes,
gone are the distractions of everyday life,
the body and mind calm down as they begin
to tune in to mother nature.

Our Taiji workshops take place throughout
March to September
A time to flow with nature....

After a very successful year, progress was made on many many levels.
I would like to thank everybody for attending the workshops, working hard, with great spirit
and for making them an enjoyable and pleasurable experience.

Our First Workshop

We held our first Taiji taster sessions in 2012 which were enjoyed by many of our students.
With the new training area complete, we held our first monthly workshop on Saturday 20th April 2013.

Tyn y NantFlowing with nature was the order of the day.
The weather was perfect, standing posture under clear blue skies,  experiencing natures beauty,
the sound of silence, punctuated only by the
sounds of rural life.

The senses sharpen as the brain relaxes,
gone are the distractions of everyday life,
the body and mind calm down as they begin to
tune in to mother nature.

An interesting session on ”Postural Correction”
was followed by a short study of Chan Si technique
after a refresher on “Yin Yang Qi Gong” we broke for tea and of course, the now obligatory  home made cake

We continued with a great session on the “Chen 19 Form” with students taking the lead in helping their
“Kung Fu Brothers & Sisters” in a deeper understanding of the movement of the “Form”

After the workshop ended, everybody stayed on to take in and enjoy the  beautiful surroundings and good
company basking in the welcome sunshine, a pleasant day was had by all.

We couldn’t have wished for a better start to the opening workshop and can only hope all our workshops
will have more of the same weather. Can we be so lucky?

If you are interested in experiencing Chen Taijiquan in a beautiful setting, our Centre is open to all.
Not just members of our school.
